| One of my friends met a man and he took her out a couple of times and my friend conceived. The man she was dating absolutely refuses to have anything to do with my friend or the baby as he says he already has a wife and children. He suggested that my friend should do away with the fetus but she has definitely said that she will not get rid of the baby. Now this man says that he is planning to give up all claims over the baby. Tell me can a man do that and if he does can he also abstain from child support? |
Anonymous CommenterFirst of all the alleged father will have to prove to the state and to the court that he is not the biological father of the baby. It is only when that is proved that he can withdraw his claims over the child as a parent. I think it would be better for you to contact your legal adviser who can tell you what the legislations concerning this matter are in your State as laws with regard to such matters are different in different states. If he thinks that a legal paternity test is advisable, then you can either contact us again or visit our web site for more information.
